Carlowrie Castle a finalist for Socially Responsible Business of the Year award

We were over the moon to hear that Carlowrie Castle has been named one of the top eight Socially Responsible Businesses in the UK at the British Business Awards 2025.

The awards received more than 300 entries across 18 categories and recognise businesses making a significant impact on their workforce, sector, and the British economy.

Every day, the team at Carlowrie Castle strives to make a meaningful difference in the community and environment, from sustainability initiatives, to the annual Isobel Award, free community events, and facilitating the work of our charity, The Breakfast Bothy SCIO. Being named a finalist for this award is a fantastic acknowledgement of the team’s hard work.

Each entry was carefully examined and judged on their positive impact to their workforce, sector and overall contribution to the British economy. The shortlist will now go forward to the main judging panel of 18 independent judges, all key figures from British industry including Vinodka Murria OBE, Phil Urban, CEO of Mitchells & Butlers and Emma Crystal, CEO of Coutts Bank.

The awards ceremony will take place on April 24th at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. The event will feature a fireside chat and special unplugged performance by Sting, as well as a keynote address from Sir Bob Geldof, marking the 40th anniversary of Band Aid. Comedian and presenter Rob Brydon will host the event, which also aims to raise ÂŁ1 million for the homelessness charity Social Bite.

We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our commitment to social responsibility and to stand alongside so many inspiring businesses. Win or lose, this nomination is a reflection of the values we hold dear at Carlowrie Castle and Carlowrie Group.

A big thank you to our team, partners, and community for supporting us on this journey.
