RESTART Lives raise an incredible ÂŁ100,000 to support people experiencing homelessness
In December 2024, as Storm Darragh hit London, a group of dedicated individuals spent the night sleeping outside to raise awareness of homelessness and funds for our charity, RESTART Lives.
Led by the fantastic RESTART Lives team, the event was a huge success, raising more money this year than ever before that will go towards supporting some of the most vulnerable people in the community.
Founder of RESTART Lives, Andrew Marshall, joined the sleep out and many Carlowrie Group businesses and individuals donated to the event.
A big thank you to everyone who donated, spread the word, and sent messages of encouragement and support.
Why donations to RESTART Lives are needed more than ever
Homelessness is at crisis point, with 1 in every 50 Londoners experiencing homelessness in December 2024. That’s the equivalent of filling Wembley Stadium twice over. With this alarming increase in homelessness, RESTART Lives’ support has needed to increase too.
RESTART Lives runs a weekly drop in service, which provides hot meals and community connection to people experiencing homelessness. Often, further services are offered to guests at the drop in, such as free haircuts, mental health support, or access to essential items guests require.
They also run three other important programmes targeted at supporting guests out of homelessness and towards their goals.
Throughout 2025, RESTART Lives will be reporting on where the donations are going and how it is creating a positive impact for their guests.
How you can support RESTART Lives
Volunteers at the drop in or donations to the charity are very welcomed throughout the year. If you would like to do something to help London’s growing number of people experiencing homelessness, please get in touch here.
