Welcoming the RESTART Lives team to Edinburgh

In February we had the pleasure of hosting Olivia, Ashleigh, and Paula from the RESTART Lives team in London on their visit to Edinburgh. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together colleagues from across Carlowrie Group and we shared insights, ideas, and experiences on how we can continue to make a meaningful impact in our communities.

Their visit included shopping for second hand gems at The Bothy Boutique, dinner at Edinburgh Street Food and even getting up close with the Highland cows at Carlowrie Castle. It was wonderful to introduce them to some of the places and people that make our community special, and we were delighted to extend a warm Scottish welcome.

An opportunity to learn and share experiences

Attending a Social Bite conference to discuss homelessness and the work-first approach was a key highlight. The discussions were insightful and reinforced the importance of collaboration in tackling social challenges.

The visit was also a reminder of the tireless work being done every day by our own teams at Restart Lives and The Breakfast Bothy to support people experiencing homelessness. From providing essential services to creating opportunities for employment and stability, their dedication and commitment are truly inspiring, and we are incredibly grateful for their hard work.

Hosting the Restart Lives team in Edinburgh was a reminder of what can be achieved when like-minded organisations come together with a common goal: to drive positive change.
